According to a report by the Australian Financial Review, Scientific Games has called in Sydney-based investment bank Jarden Australia to investigate the pros and cons of an ASX-listing as one option to address debts of around US$9.43 billion. Although Scientific Games is reportedly looking at a range of options to raise funds, an ASX-listing may also be attractive due to the company’s strong Australian links. Those links include last year’s sale of the 34.9% stake previously held by US billionaire Ronald Perelman to a group of long-term institutional investors led by Australian fund manager Caledonia (Private) Investments, and the subsequent appointment of former Aristocrat CEO Jamie Odell and CFO Toni Korsanos as Scientific Games’ new Executive Chairman and Executive Vice Chairman respectively. 世界的なゲーミング会社大手 のサイエンティフィック・ゲーム ズは、資金調達と負債返済のために、オーストラリアでの新 規株式公開とオーストラリア証券取引所（以下ASX）への上 場を検討していると言われている。 オーストラリアン・フィナンシャル・レビュー（以下AFR）の 報道によると、同社は、約94億3,000万米ドル（約1兆300億 円）の負債を処理するための一選択肢として、シドニー拠点 の投資銀行ジャーデン・オーストラリアにASXへの上場の是 非の調査を依頼。 同社は、資金調達のために様々な選択肢を検討中だと 報じられているが、オーストラリアと強い繋がりを持つことか ら、ASX上場も魅力的に映るかもしれない。昨年、米国の大 富豪ロナルド・ペレルマン氏が保有していた34.9％の株式 を、オーストラリアの資産運用管理会社カレドニア・プライベ ート・インベストメンツ率いる長期機関投資家グループに売 却したこともその繋がりの一部。また、同氏の全株式の売却 と取締役会からの退任により、アリストクラートの前CEOジェ イミー・オデル氏とCFOトニ・コルサノス氏（ともにオーストラ リア人）が、サイエンティフィック・ゲームズの取締役会長と取 締役副会長にそれぞれ就任した。
