IAG JAPAN FEB 2021 16 SUNCITY GROUP TO DEVELOP LUXURY NON-GAMING RESORT IN HOKKAIDO サンシティグループ、北海道にカジノを 持たない高級リゾート開発へ 香港に 上場するサンシティグループが有名スキーリゾート である北海道のニセコでの高級リゾート開発計画を明かし た。2021年に日本で取り掛かる予定の2つの開発の１つと なる。 サンシティは、和歌山で統合型リゾート開発ライセンス 獲得に取り組む中でより大きな賭けに出るために、宮古島 と北海道のニセコの両方でゲーミングを持たないリゾート を開発する予定だと述べた。 北海道の計画については、世界有数のスキー地方の1つ でサービスを提供し、主に日本人と韓国人の旅行者をター ゲットにする「高級リゾート」とのみ説明されている。 サンシティは、「2021年に準備中の開発計画があり、この プロジェクトは、広さおよそ20ヘクタールの土地に作られ、 ニセコの自然美と便利なレジャー施設を組み合わせたも のになる予定」だと述べた。 遠い南の沖縄では、サンシティは、2019年9月に土地区 画の過半数の権利を購入した後に、プロジェクトをスター トさせている。 与那覇前浜ビーチエリアに位置する同計画では、100室 のホテル客室と40棟のプライベートヴィラ、そして専用プー ルおよびスタンドアップパドル、シュノーケリングそしてディ ープダイビングなど様々なウォータースポーツを提供する と述べた。建設工事は今年開始され、2023年に完成予定。 HONG KONG-LISTED SUNCITY GROUP has revealed plans to develop a luxury resort in the renowned Japanese ski town of Niseko in Hokkaido, one of two developments the company plans to start work on in Japan in 2021. Suncity said it will develop non-gaming resorts on both Miyako Island, Okinawa, and Niseko, Hokkaido, in the coming months as it ups the ante in pursuit of a license to develop an integrated resort in Wakayama. The Hokkaido project is described only as a “luxury resort” to serve one of the world’s most popular skiing regions, and will primarily target Japanese and Korean travelers. “With development plans in the works in 2021, the project will cover an area of approximately 20 hectares, combining the natural beauty of Niseko and convenient leisure amenities,” Suncity said. Further south, the Okinawa project follows Suncity’s purchase of a majority stake in a plot of land in September 2019. The project, located in the Yonaha Maehama Beach area, would provide 100 hotel rooms and 40 private villas with their own pools, as well as a variety of water sports, including stand-up paddling, snorkeling and deep diving. Construction is slated to begin this year and be completed in 2023.
