Three months after French casino operator Groupe Partouche was announced as Pixel Companyz’ new Japanese IR consortium partner, the duo will now become Nagasaki’s fourth IR candidate alongside Oshidori International Holdings, Casinos Austria and a consortium comprising Get Nice Holdings and Current Corp. “As of right now, the official public offering period hasn’t been announced,” said Pixel Companyz CEO Hiroaki Yoshida on Monday, confirming plans to participate in Nagasaki’s Request for Proposal once it launches. “Until it is, we will continue discussions and preparations and hope it will lead to acquiring an IR operation license.” Pixel has been carefully preparing its IR bid in recent months, having started development of a resort hotel in Miyakojima city, Okinawa in June, in order to gain valuable experience for future IR development. カジノ向けゲーム機 、システム開発、再生エネルギ ーなどを手掛ける「ピクセルカンパニーズ」(本社・ 東京都港区)は、長崎県が推進するIR(カジノを含む 統合型リゾート施設)への事業参入を目指すことを 発表した。 ピクセルカンパニーズの吉田弘明CEOは「長崎 は地方創生を実現するIR開発が期待でき、全国で も有数の候補地」と表明。すでに複数の国内外有 力企業と提携しており、事業者公募へ向け、着々と 準備を整えている。 候補地の長崎県とは、これまで継続的にコンタ クトを取り続けてきた。吉田CEOは「現時点で公募 の正確な実施時期については発表されていない が、それまでの期間、引き続き対話を重ねながら準 備を進め、IR事業ライセンスの取得を目指す」と意 気込む。立候補するにあたっては、しっかりと体制を 整えてきた。6月には沖縄県宮古島市のリゾートホ テル開発に着手。これは近い将来のIR開発に向け、 貴重な経験になると思われる。
